Having immigrated to the United States during her primary years and English being her second language, Yukari has first hand experience appreciating the value of having access to books of high interest and even more importantly the impact of passionate and dedicated teachers who commit their time in supporting and guiding their students. Working with the Book Love Foundation gives her the opportunity to support those teachers and in turn build a world of adolescents that truly love reading.

Yukari has spent the majority of her career working as a marketing professional at start-up companies in the technology sector. With her electrical engineering background along with her strategic thinking and effective communication skills, she has successfully helped these start-ups gain traction and grow in the market.

Since retiring from the high-tech industry, Yukari spends her time volunteering with non-profit organizations such as the Book Love Foundation to help further their cause.
